C. Daniel Benson, M.D.

Biography

Daniel Benson, M.D. came to East Tennessee in 2014 to join OrthoTennessee Oak Ridge. Originally from Bowling Green, Kentucky, he attended Georgetown College in Kentucky where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky and went on to do his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Kansas University Medical Center. Dr. Benson is a board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Benson chose a career in medicine because he enjoys helping others. Through his work in orthopaedics, he enjoys being able to restore quality of life and helping patients return to daily activities once hindered by an injury or disease. He has published a number of articles on orthopaedic traumatology, spine care and fracture care.

Dr. Benson enjoys following college and professional sports as well as traveling and golf when time allows.
