Cletus J. McMahon, Jr., M.D.

Biography

Cletus J. McMahon, Jr., M.D. was born and raised in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. In addition, he was educated in the Oak Ridge school system. Dr. McMahon attended Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville on a tennis scholarship. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis.

Dr. McMahon completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. He has practiced orthopaedic surgery in Oak Ridge since 1979 and is currently president of the board of OrthoTennessee. Dr. McMahon is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. McMahon has been the team physician for the Oak Ridge High School football team since 1980. He is married with four grown children as well as five grandchildren. When Dr. McMahon and his family spend time together they enjoy sports and outdoor activities, particularly on Norris Lake.
